11. Run ID checks

Updated this week

Pre-requisites: you need an active subscription to use ID verification services. You should also need to be familiar with portals and portal workflows.

MyDocSafe works with Yoti to bring ID verification services to our customer onboarding worklfows. We are ultimately a re-seller of Yoti services and take no responsibility for it. If you would like to find out if the Yoti service is for you please contact yoti.com.

You pay per test, monthly in arrears, and there are no commitment or minimum fees.

Each ID test costs $2 / £1.5 / €1.8 and includes:

  • data extraction

  • document authentication

  • face match

  • liveness test

Similarly, each address verification test costs $2 / £1.5 / €1.8 and watchlist/adverse media/sanctions/PEPs test costs £0.5 / $0.65 / €0.55

Add the ID verification widget to a workflow.

You can embed the ID verification widget in a workflow or a workflow template in a Prospect or Client Group.

If you use workflows in Prospect Groups

  • your recipient will be able to start the workflow straight from a link sent in the email notification

If you use workflows in Client Groups

  • your recipient will require login details to the portal first. So the first step is to create a client portal and invite your client to it. Only then will you be able to send email invitations to workflows embedded in that portal.

To turn on 'address verification' service, edit the widget in a workflow and select the option.

How to configure access permissions and manage ID verification results:

Important note: After your client completes and ID verification step (powered by Yoti), you will be notified to review the submitted information. It is your responsibility to make sure that the results of the verification meet your regulatory requirements.

If KYC/AML approval is required before your client can proceed with any further actions in MyDocSafe, use the ID verification step on its own.

If you need identity verification for e-signing only (rather than a more robust KYC/AML compliance), we recommend that you use our Qualified Electronic Signature integration.
