Which MyDocSafe plan should I choose?
MyDocSafe pricing is primarily based on the number of internal users (seats) and the level of functionality you need. You do not need to move to a higher plan simply because your team grows: additional internal users can be added to any subscription and charged at that plan’s per-user rate.
This guide is intended to help you decide whether to self-serve, start a free trial, or speak to us first.
Quick decision table
Your situation | Usually the best route | Why |
1–5 internal users, straightforward e-signatures, portals, tasks, forms and proposals | Business Pro | Designed for smaller teams; includes 200 guest users, 500 GB storage and 90-day audit trail |
Professional services firm needing richer onboarding, pricing/proposals, own-domain branding and some API access | Accounting Pro | Designed specifically for professional services firms; includes 500 guest users, 2 TB storage, 1-year audit trail and 100 API calls/month |
Deal, transaction or data-room use case | Deal Pro | Adds unlimited audit trail, 1,000 guest users, larger files, 5 TB storage and data-room Q&A |
Larger team but standard requirements | Stay on the most appropriate standard plan and add seats | Seat count alone does not force an upgrade |
Need SSO/SAML, SLA, custom storage, custom API limits or complex workflows | Enterprise | These requirements normally need commercial and technical scoping |
Procurement team requires security questionnaires, DPA review, data-residency confirmation or supplier onboarding | Start with your preferred plan, but contact MyDocSafe early | Procurement can run in parallel with evaluation |
Large organisation, public sector, regulated environment or bespoke contract required | Contact Sales before purchasing | Allows us to address procurement, security and contractual requirements upfront |
Current UK pricing is published here. We bill in GBP, Euro and USD. Enterprise plans are priced individually. Annual billing currently carries a 10% saving compared with monthly billing.
Which plan is right for a professional services firm?
For most accountants, tax advisers, legal firms and similar businesses, Accounting Pro is usually the natural starting point.
It includes everything in Business Pro together with the pricing engine, own-domain branding, a longer audit trail, greater storage and an initial API allowance.
You may prefer Business Pro if your requirements are simpler and you mainly need e-signatures, portals, proposals, forms and secure document exchange.
Choose Deal Pro where long-term audit history, larger files and virtual data-room capabilities are important.
Choose Enterprise where your decision is being driven less by seat count and more by requirements such as:
SSO/SAML;
SLA;
bespoke API limits;
complex or high-volume workflows;
unusually large files or storage requirements;
custom guest-user requirements;
procurement or contractual requirements.
Enterprise includes the Deal Pro functionality plus customisation in these areas.
What happens when I click “Choose Plan” or “Start Free Trial”?
For the standard plans, the normal route is to start a 30-day free trial.
There is no credit card required to begin the trial. The trial gives you access to the platform so that you can configure MyDocSafe, test workflows and invite colleagues before deciding whether to subscribe. The current trial includes the main platform functionality, with ID verification and AES and QES excluded and 20 e-signatures included.
A typical journey is:
Start Free Trial → create your account → configure your organisation → invite colleagues → build/test your client process → choose your paid subscription before or at the end of the trial.
Once subscribed, additional user licences can be added without changing plan. If you pay annually, new internal licences are also billed annually; if you pay monthly, they are billed monthly. Extras such as identity checks, AES/QES and additional portal users are billed separately monthly in arrears, where applicable.
What if we already know we want to buy?
You do not have to spend 30 days evaluating the system. If your requirements are straightforward, you can configure your account and move onto a paid plan as soon as you are ready. If you need an internal purchase order, supplier registration, bank-transfer payment, security review or contract review, contact us early so those activities can run alongside the technical evaluation.
Annual plans can currently be paid by major credit or debit cards. Direct debit or bank transfers are available on Enterprise plans only.
Typical timelines
For a small professional services firm with standard requirements, getting started can be very quick.
Requirement | Typical planning expectation |
Create trial and start testing | Same day |
Basic configuration for a small team | A few hours to a few days |
Configure portals, forms and standard onboarding | Several days, depending on complexity |
Test with internal users / first clients | Within the 30-day trial |
Standard paid subscription | Can be activated as soon as you are ready |
Own-domain branding / DNS configuration | Allow several days, particularly where your IT team is involved |
API or integration project | Depends on scope; discuss with us first |
Enterprise procurement / security review | Commonly several weeks, depending mainly on your organisation's process |
SSO, bespoke workflows or significant integration | Agree an implementation timetable with MyDocSafe |
These are planning guides rather than guaranteed implementation times. In many cases, the biggest variable is your own procurement, IT or approval process rather than activation of the MyDocSafe account.
Who should I contact?
Just want to try MyDocSafe?
Start the 30-day free trial directly from the MyDocSafe pricing page.
Need help choosing between Business Pro, Accounting Pro or Deal Pro?
Contact MyDocSafe Sales.
Need Enterprise, SSO, SLA, large-scale API access or bespoke workflows?
Use Contact Sales rather than purchasing a standard plan.
Already have an account and have a configuration or billing question?
Use the in-app support route wherever possible, as this gives us the best context for your account.
Procurement, security or compliance review?
Tell your MyDocSafe contact what your organisation requires. Useful requests commonly include:
Data Processing Agreement;
security documentation;
data-residency statement;
sub-processor information;
SLA;
company and VAT information;
insurance certificates;
contractual review.
A simple rule of thumb
Choose the plan for the functionality you need, not the size of your team.
You can add users to any standard subscription. Consider Enterprise when you need enterprise controls or commercial arrangements, rather than simply because you have more seats.
For a typical UK accounting or professional services firm, we suggest starting with Accounting Pro and a 30-day trial, then moving up or down once you have tested your actual workflows.
