For your clients: accepting your portal invitation

How to accept an invitation to your adviser's secure portal, whether you are new to MyDocSafe or not.

Firms: you can send this page to clients or link it from your portal's Tutorial button.

Your adviser uses a secure portal to share documents with you. Here's how to accept their invitation. It takes about a minute.

If this is your first time

1. Open the invitation email. It comes from your adviser's firm name (sent from hello@mydocsafe.com) with the subject Portal Invite. Click Accept invitation.

2. Check your details. Your name and email address are already filled in. Correct your name if needed and click Next. (Clicking Next means you agree to the Terms & Conditions.)

Set up your account details

3. Choose a password. It needs at least 9 characters, with a lower-case letter, an upper-case letter, a number and a special character. The ticks turn green as you go. Click Next.

Set your password

4. You're in. Your portal opens on its Dashboard. Use the menu on the left to move between sections such as Workflows, Documents and Messages (your adviser chooses which ones you see).

If your adviser requires two-factor authentication, you'll also be asked to confirm your mobile number with a code sent by text message.

If you already use MyDocSafe

Click Accept invitation in the email and sign in if asked. You'll see who the invitation is from and which portal it's for. Click Accept invite.

Didn't get the email?

Check your spam or junk folder for an email from hello@mydocsafe.com, then ask your adviser to send it again. Invitations expire after a period your adviser sets, so if the button no longer works, ask for a new one.
