For your clients: your portal at a glance

This guide is written for clients. Firms: send it to new clients, or link it from your portal's Tutorial button.

Prefer to watch? This short video gives you a quick tour of your portal, or read the guide below.

Your adviser uses MyDocSafe to share documents with you securely. Here is what you will see when you sign in. Your adviser can rename, add or hide tabs, so your portal may look slightly different.

Signing in

Use the link in your invitation email the first time (see Accepting a portal invitation). After that, sign in at the address your adviser gave you with your email and password.

Your portals

If your adviser has given you more than one portal, you'll see a list first. Click a portal's name to open it.

The tabs on the left are where everything happens:

  • Dashboard: your adviser's welcome message, recent activity (Notifications) and Comments.

  • Workflows: tasks your adviser has asked you to complete, such as reading a notice or signing an engagement letter. See Completing a workflow.

  • Documents: files shared between you and your adviser. See Uploading documents.

  • Signed Documents: copies of everything you have signed in this portal.

  • Messages: secure messages from your adviser.

  • You may also see Public Documents (a read-only library), Forms and Tasks.

Portal Users at the bottom left shows who else has access to this portal.

Your settings

Click your initial in the top right corner, then Personal settings, to change your contact details, photo, language, time zone, password, two-factor authentication and notification preferences.

More than one firm?

If other firms also use MyDocSafe with you, a Switch button lets you move between them. One login covers all of them.

Questions about your documents or requests? Contact your adviser directly. They manage your portal.
