MyDocSafe works with consultants, technology providers, advisers and other organisations that introduce new customers or build MyDocSafe into a wider client service.
There are several ways to work with us, ranging from a simple referral through to a more structured partner or reseller arrangement.
Referral programme
The simplest way to work with MyDocSafe is through our public referral programme.
The current programme works as follows:
Refer a friend, colleague or company to MyDocSafe.
Register the referral through the MyDocSafe referral portal.
If the referral becomes a paying subscriber for at least 2 months, you receive a £40 shopping voucher, or the equivalent in USD or EUR.
If receiving a voucher is not appropriate, you can choose for MyDocSafe to make an equivalent donation to one of the charities supported by the programme instead.
If the referred customer remains subscribed for one full year, the reward is repeated.
If they remain for a second full year, the reward is paid or donated once again.
This means a successful referral can generate rewards at the initial subscription point and again after the first and second full years of the customer's relationship with MyDocSafe.

Referring customers when you already use MyDocSafe
Existing customers and consultants can also introduce businesses to MyDocSafe.
For example, MyDocSafe supports users who manage multiple companies or consultants who configure MyDocSafe accounts for their own clients. Each client company can have its own subscription, branding, settings and payment method, and ownership of an account can subsequently be transferred to the client.
If you are doing this regularly rather than making an occasional introduction, contact us to discuss whether a more formal partner arrangement would be appropriate.
Partner arrangements
A partner agreement is appropriate where the relationship goes beyond an occasional referral.
Examples might include:
consultants implementing MyDocSafe for their clients;
software or technology businesses integrating with MyDocSafe;
professional-services networks introducing MyDocSafe to member firms;
implementation partners;
organisations incorporating MyDocSafe into a broader service offering;
businesses generating a regular flow of referred customers.
The exact structure will depend on the nature of the relationship.
A partner agreement would normally deal with matters such as:
what each party will do;
how customers are introduced;
any referral or commercial payments;
use of MyDocSafe branding and marketing materials;
responsibilities for sales and customer communications;
implementation and support responsibilities;
confidentiality;
data protection;
intellectual property;
term and termination;
restrictions on making commitments on behalf of MyDocSafe.
Commercial terms are agreed separately and are not part of the public referral programme unless expressly stated.
Reseller arrangements
A reseller relationship is generally more involved than a referral.
A reseller may, for example, package MyDocSafe together with its own consulting, implementation or managed service.
MyDocSafe already supports consultants working across multiple customer accounts. A consultant can create and configure separate customer accounts and later use the Transfer Ownership feature when responsibility for an account is handed over to the customer.
A formal reseller arrangement may therefore be appropriate where you intend to:
sell MyDocSafe regularly as part of your own offering;
configure accounts on behalf of clients;
provide implementation or consultancy;
manage multiple customer accounts;
integrate MyDocSafe with another product or service.
Reseller arrangements are considered individually because billing, support, ownership of the customer relationship and implementation responsibilities can vary considerably.
Referral programme vs partner vs reseller
Arrangement | Best suited to | Typical relationship |
Referral programme | Occasional introductions | You introduce a prospective customer; MyDocSafe handles the sale and service |
Partner | Regular introductions or joint market activity | Commercial relationship documented in a partner agreement |
Reseller / implementation partner | Businesses incorporating MyDocSafe into their own offering | More structured commercial and operational arrangement |
If you are unsure which model is appropriate, start by describing how you expect to work with customers and how frequently you expect to introduce or implement MyDocSafe.
How to apply
For an occasional referral, use the public MyDocSafe referral programme and register the prospective customer through the referral portal.
If you are a consultant, reseller or potential strategic partner, contact:
MyDocSafe's help documentation specifically directs consultants building accounts for clients to contact this address to discuss the referral programme.
When contacting us, it is useful to include:
your company and website;
the type of customers you work with;
approximate number of potential referrals or deployments;
whether you expect to introduce, implement or resell MyDocSafe;
any other services you intend to provide alongside MyDocSafe;
countries or markets in which you operate.
We can then determine whether the public referral programme is sufficient or whether a separate partner or reseller agreement makes more sense.
Important
Participation in the public referral programme does not by itself make you an agent, reseller or authorised representative of MyDocSafe.
Unless separately agreed in writing, a referrer should not:
make contractual commitments on behalf of MyDocSafe;
represent that they can alter MyDocSafe pricing or terms;
make warranties about MyDocSafe beyond our published materials;
present themselves as an authorised MyDocSafe reseller or agent.
For anything beyond a straightforward introduction, please discuss the proposed arrangement with us first.
