How to ask a client to upload documents inside a workflow

The upload document widget lets you add an upload step to any workflow, so clients can send back the things you need — proof of ID, prior-year accounts, a signed mandate — as part of the same process. Whatever they upload lands straight in their portal's

1. Open the workflow in the editor

Go to Portals -> Open specific portal -> Workflows tab, then open an existing workflow or create a new one to open the Workflow Editor.

To create a new workflow, click the "+" button, then select "New workflow" option

2. Add the “upload document” step

In the Workflow Editor, click the "+" button and choose the “Upload documents” widget.

3. Tell what you need

Add rich-text instructions so the client knows precisely what to send and in what format

4. Save the step

Click the “Save” button to add the step to your workflow.

What happens next

When the client reaches the upload step, they’ll see your instructions and can attach their files right there. Whatever they upload lands in portal’s Documents folder.
