Option 1: Unsubscribe from the email
Every product news email ends with an unsubscribe link. You don't need to be logged in to use it.
Scroll to the bottom of any product news email and click "Unsubscribe".
A page opens asking you to confirm — nothing has changed yet.
Click the button to confirm.
You'll see a confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, with a one-click way to change your mind if you clicked by accident.
If your email provider is Gmail or Yahoo, you can also use the unsubscribe button their mail app shows at the top of the message - it does the same thing.
Option 2: Turn it off in your settings
Go to Personal settings/Notifications and find "Product news and release notes" in the list of preferences.
Switch it off and save. It's on by default, so if you've never changed it, it will be on.
Your other notification preferences are unaffected - only product news stops.
What you'll still receive
Unsubscribing stops product news: release notes, new features and announcements.
It doesn't stop service notices — messages about outages, planned maintenance, security and billing. These go to everyone with a MyDocSafe account, because missing one could affect your work.
You'll also keep receiving the notification emails you've set up yourself, such as alerts about documents and portals. Those are controlled separately in Notification Settings.
Good to know
Changing your mind is easy. Go back to Personal settings/Notifications and switch "Product news and release notes" back on.
Your choice applies to you, not your company. If you're a user of more than one company, unsubscribing covers all of them, and you're never emailed twice.
Unsubscribing takes effect immediately, including for any news email that's in the middle of being sent.
